The restructuring will divide Amazon Health Services into six divisions to better focus on improving patient experiences and solidifying its pharmacy business, led by appointees from within the company.

Panissa Caldwell, RN, the health system’s director of clinical services, explains how telehealth, artificial intelligence and other tools can help nurses make the most of their educations and careers.

Working with hellocare.ai, the health system's Florida campus will co-develop ambient clinical intelligence to improve inpatient care and reduce clinician workloads. 

The health systems' MyCare Anywhere app fuses the Epic EHR, MyChart, telemedicine, expert health content, self-guided health journeys and more. MetroHealth has done 27,000 virtual visits with thousands of referrals in the first year.

The new telesurgery service in Central Queensland will also accelerate the training and upskilling of surgical residents and trainees. 

Sheba Beyond, a virtual hospital affiliated with Israel's largest medical center, blends telemedicine with in-person visits to deliver hospital-quality care remotely. Its director general, Dr. Galia Barkai, explains.

Also, Tend Health has received funding to deliver the New Zealand government's new digital mental health and addiction service.  

Through the company's virtual platform, the payvider's health plan members with autoimmune conditions receive an individualized care plan, one-on-one video visits with coaches, unlimited patient messaging and access to digital tools as covered services.

The virtual care organization did so with help from Baton Health, which used its credentialing technology platform to scan for licenses across the country and fill in gaps.

Also, the Victorian government has announced over $280 million in funding to make its virtual emergency department permanent.
