The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the evolution of the healthcare environment.
The Telehealth Modernization Act was reintroduced in both the House and Senate this week, while the Senate's LINC to Address Social Needs Act would give states funding for service coordination and consumer assistance.
The goal of the investment, which also provides for distance learning technology, is to improve health outcomes and education for some five million rural residents, the agency says.
