The cloud-based Mural virtual-care technology, hosted on Microsoft's Azure platform, enables clinicians to monitor the ventilation status of multiple ICU patients at once.

The registry will hold HIPAA-compliant de-identified data sets that clinical researchers will use to better understand and characterize COVID-19 diagnoses and treatments.

"My world before COVID consisted of taking care of patients one at a time," says one doctor. "Now, my duty is to serve an entire patient population." Other providers will soon have to acquaint themselves with remote monitoring and new models of care.
