This month, companies including Oracle, Medtronic, Atropos, Elation, LeanTaas, Palantir and more released artificial intelligence and virtual reality enhancements that offer health systems a menu of efficiency tools. 

The annual wellness visit and breast cancer screening campaigns show how a health system can succeed with value-based care. The provider also achieved a more than 28% improvement in care-gap closures.

The kidney care provider's build-not-buy effort has shown great results: 30-day readmissions are down 36%, hospitalizations among high-risk patients are down 49% and optimal starts are up 67%.

Innovaccer, Veradigm and other companies are integrating real-time healthcare data, analytics and artificial intelligence-enhanced workflows into payer and provider systems to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.

Another tip for HIMSS25 attendees from Dr. Hamad Husainy, CMO at PointClickCare: Look to technology to help with the inevitable growth of value-based care – streamlining transfers from hospital to post-acute care is one strategy.
