The Korea Health Industry Development Institute's director Kwan-Ik Lee talks about how the institute can help support countries struggling with healthcare digitization and discusses South Korea's two major precision medicine projects.

Innovations in medical device manufacturing, remote medical treatment systems and medical software were among health tech solutions showcased at the online South Korean Pavilion, as part of the HIMSS & Health 2.0 European Digital Conference.

Eight health tech companies, selected by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, will present their solutions at the event. The technology on display will include innovations in medical device manufacturing, remote medical treatment systems and medical software.

Taegyun Song, director of Korea Health Industry Development Institute, says over 90% of hospitals in Korea use an e-health system that tracks the patient journey, and now the aim is to develop systems outside medical institutions.
