One of the country’s leading private healthcare providers took gold at the latest edition of the MENA Digital Awards for its conversational AI-powered agent.

The healthcare provider – and first member of the Kingdom’s Mayo Clinic Care Network – will roll-out the EMR system in its Jeddah hospital and clinics.

Both will work together to accelerate the growth of transformational healthcare companies across markets in the Middle East and North African, and the Association of South-East Asian Nations.

The bilingual Daman Health Bot is an AI-powered tool designed to help users conduct a self-assessment on COVID-19 symptoms, directing them towards the appropriate level of care or action required. 

Available in five languages, the website aims to serve as a national awareness platform, and comes in response to government directives to use “smart solutions in MoHAP’s curative and preventive services” to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The Kingdom’s Ministry of Health confirmed that the three devices are being used in order to protect healthcare staff from excessive exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Acronis believes it is likely cybercriminals will target government agencies, healthcare facilities and medical professionals treating patients during the COVID-19 crisis.

The brands will assist with remote healthcare services in the country on "an exceptional basis on all networks until further notice."
